Doheny Flag

I have long been a fan of Scott's work at Slightly Choppy and finally bought 3 flags for my favorite surf spots to hang up in my office. When they arrived, I was delighted to see the high-quality craftsmanship and little touches that make these extra special.

I’ve purchased 12 Slightly Choppy beach themed flags online for my place in Dana Point. I met Scott at the Vintage Street Fair last month in DP and was excited to get a Killer Dana 1966 flag. The retro look and handmade quality of these flags are amazing. Shipping was perfect. I will continue to support this great local business.

I’ve bought several flags from Slightly Choppy over the past couple years & I’m never disappointed! I started buying my HS aged son a flag for every special occasion, representing places he’d surfed, in hopes of creating a flag banner he could use to decorate his dorm when he left for college. I’ve had a few custom flags done as well which have all turned out beautifully. It is obvious each flag is created with great integrity and passion that make them unique & meaningful pieces of art.

I could not be happier with my Doheny flag!!! Scott does incredible work. Doheny was where I first learned to surf, and having this reminder on the wall always gets me stoked for the day. When my sister saw my flag, she told me that a Slightly Choppy flag was the one thing she had been planning to get me for Christmas. She’d seen them in our cousin’s apartment and fell in love. I so appreciate handmade items from local craftsmen and businesses. I saw this flag and immediately thought of my husband who loves to surf. It’s so cool and vintage looking. Everyone who sees it asks about it. I feel lucky to have it in our home.
