The Process
Always re-imagining ways to pay homage to the locations that ocean goers
hold true, Slightly Choppy cuts, stains and stitches one of a kind heirlooms
that are reminiscent of good times on the coast. It always begins with sketching
as with any good idea to bring the final creation to life.
Whether it's hand-drawn typography or cut and painted felt, the "hand" and "slight imperfections" is what makes the creation unique. Each step is definitely time consuming, but that's what makes it art and not just a machine produced product for mass consumption.
Slightly Choppy follows a genuine process of hand done typography,
letters trimmed from felt, well used stencils, carefree tea-stains, worn canvas, and
the ebb and flow of paint that is all sewn together to create unique mementos.
Keepsakes that connect individuals to the spots they treasure most.
