Topanga — a canyon community tucked between the Santa Monica Mountains and the sea, where the counterculture never really left and the surf at the mouth of the canyon has been a rite of passage for generations of LA surfers. It's wild, a little eccentric, and completely its own thing.

This hand-made flag uses a washed army green canvas and hand-painted stencil in off-white. Each flag is topped with a natural twine + twill tape and stamped with Slightly Choppy branding.

Please note: These are all made as a "one-of-a-kind" and may have slight imperfections giving them their own character.

The difference care makes

Every time someone comes to our house, the first comment is usually about how cool these flags are. When we explain they’re handmade and thoughtfully distressed they’re (appropriately) hyped to get their own. Everyone can see the care you take in making each flag. All that craftsmanship pays homage to the spots painted on the flag itself. There are few ways to show love to a geographical location that doesn’t strip it or exploit it or turn the spot into a stupid Instagram hashtag. These flags are the exception. Thank you.

This is probably my fifth or sixth flag from Scott. This one is an awesome faded OD green and has a ton of character. One of these days I hope Scott sells me one of the big flags!
