Aloha Flag

Quality product as always!

After the fires in Maui, I was reminiscent of my time that I spent in Lahaina many years ago as a young 20 something who worked at the harbor. When my flag came, I just loved the colors and the craftsmanship. Looks great in my bar area. Really spectacular piece of reminds me of a special time in my life and also the aloha spirit that I love so much.

Love the aloha (and other Hawaii flags) that I bought for my daughter who had a summer internship on Oahu this summer. A great memory for her dorm room walls. Always love my slightly choppy products!

My piece is very close to the representation in the pictures, but the handmade quality makes it one of a kind. Slight variations from what you see here, but you can trust the photos are a 99% representation of what you’ll get. I went back and forth for a long time on whether this would be worth the money. I look at this thing every day in my office and am warmed by an object that is the exact opposite of text on a computer screen. Craftspeople and artists need to make a living - if it’s cheap, it wasn’t made by hand (or maybe it was made by really tiny hands if you know what I mean).

I purchased this flag as a gift for my husband knowing fully well it would adorn a wall in our home. As an artist myself, I’m a big supporter of artists, especially local artists. This piece is solidly sewn and printed in a vivid color on thick canvas. You can tell there is a lot of pride that goes into Scott’s items with the selected materials and attention to detail— the stitching, rope loops for hanging, and stamped logo. I’m very happy with this purchase and my husband really enjoyed receiving it as a Christmas gift.

I saw Slightly Choppy made “aloha” flags and being in love with anything Hawaii and vintage looking, I *HAD* to order them! The quality is excellent! Usually, pennant flags are made of wool felt, but these are made with canvas that feels vintage-y and well loved. If they come out with any more Hawaii themed flags, I’m definitely buying them! (Hint to Slightly Choppy: “Ohana” “Mahalo”, Hawaii landmarks & Hawaiian island name flags would be snatched up quickly!)

This was the perfect housewarming gift for my friend who moved recently moved to Hawaii. I found it especially appropriate since we are both originally from Michigan - and though we've never surfed the Great Lakes - we grew up spending our summers on them. The Aloha flag was the perfect momentum to symbolize the past and present. The craftsmanship is beautiful. I will be ordering one for my Montauk house next!

These pennants are super creative and beautiful and while not a surfer myself, I did grow up in SoCal and have family ties in Hawaii so these speak to me so much! The craftsmanship and aesthetic are amazing. Thank you so much for doing what you do!
